I opened this office as a sole practitioner in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in 1987. My practice is focused in the fields of significant personal injury litigation (medical malpractice, wrongful death and other substantial injury litigation), criminal defense with emphasis on white collar offenses and military and veteran representation. I represent people who have been injured through the negligence of federal employees and agents (Federal Tort Claims Act litigation).
I had served three years in the United States Army as Defense Counsel in Courts-Martial and later as Military Police Platoon Leader with the 82nd Airborne Division (Republic of Vietnam). Upon discharge I joined the Office of the United States Attorney, District of New Jersey, in March 1970. I served as Supervising Attorney in the Trenton and Camden, New Jersey, offices until 1982 when I left the U.S. Attorney's Office to enter the private practice of law. During my 12 years as Assistant U.S. Attorney I prosecuted countless federal felonies - bank robberies, tax violations, political corruption, bribery, interstate theft, military draft violations and many other "white collar" offenses. In 1982 I joined the Law Offices of Beasley, Hewson and Casey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With the Beasley firm I represented people who had been injured through medical malpractice, product defects, aircraft disasters and other negligent acts.
Throughout my legal career I maintained my military involvement. After my discharge from the U.S. Army I joined the New Jersey Army National Guard. I remained in the National Guard until 1995, serving the last six years as the Commander of my assigned unit. In 1995 I retired as a Colonel. Military representation is an important part of my practice.
