The law office of Frederick W. Klepp provides the residents of southern New Jersey and Philadelphia with legal services, counsel and representation in matters involving personal injury, white collar and Federal crimes, Federal Tort Claims Act cases, military legal matters and veterans’ benefits claims.

Extensive experience as both a prosecutor and a defender

I began my current practice in Cherry Hill in 1987, but I have more than 40 years’ legal experience.

I also offer something many other criminal defense lawyers cannot: For 12 years I served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, prosecuting bank robberies, interstate theft and such white collar offenses as tax violations and political corruption. I know how the prosecution thinks.

Besides criminal defense work, I bring considerable experience in helping plaintiffs seeking compensation. I worked at a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania law firm for seven years, representing people who had been injured through medical malpractice, product defects, aircraft disasters and other negligent acts. I continue to represent personal injury cases to this day. I also am still licensed to practice in the great state of Pennsylvania.

I am certified as a criminal trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. I have also established relationships with many New Jersey and Pennsylvania legal professionals. Their confidence in my practice has earned me a BV® Distinguished Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®.

Aggressive representation in civil, criminal and military matters

I represent plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of cases, including:

Federal Criminal Defense — I help defend you against criminal charges brought by such federal agencies as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Treasury, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Military Administrative and Criminal Representation — I will represent you in military criminal matters in General Courts-martial and Special Courts-martial, represent you in military benefits matters, including corrections of military records, gaining upgrades of discharges, disciplinary review boards, military administrative boards, and, if necessary, requesting the United States District Courts to review the administrative decision. I am a Colonel (retired), United States Army, and a Judge Advocate General
certified military defense attorney.

Veterans Claims and Veterans Appeals — I will help you respond to a Notice of Disagreement, and represent you at a hearing before the Board of Veterans Appeals. I am qualified to represent you before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. I will prepare and submit applications for the upgrade of discharges and for the correction of military records to the appropriate military branch administrative board.
If it is necessary to challenge the decision of the administrative board, I will file a complaint in the
appropriate federal court seeking to overturn the administrative decision.

Personal Injury — I have represented people in serious medical malpractice, wrongful death and other substantial injury litigation, helping them recover damages for past and future medical bills, lost income, emotional distress, and pain and suffering. I will consider representation on a case by case basis.
